The richat structure, also known as the “eye of africa” is an eroded circular formation of layered sedimentary rocks in the middle of the sahara. amongst the vast featureless desert, this phenomena can actually be seen by astronauts in space and from satellite views it actually looks like a bulls-eye. it’s still a mystery as to how this formation was created, but it’s certainly a pretty interesting sight to see.
